Attending the 2024 Formula E race in Portland was an unforgettable experience and a pivotal step toward my dream of shooting Formula 1. As my first time capturing high-speed motorsport action, it was both an exhilarating challenge and an incredible learning opportunity.
From the unique sound of the electric engines to the precision of each corner, every moment was a test of skill—tracking the cars as they flew past at blistering speeds, adjusting settings on the fly, and finding the perfect angles to convey the energy of the race.
Shooting both photos and video, I experimented with panning techniques, motion blur, and dynamic compositions to truly capture the essence of Formula E. Beyond the technical aspects, the atmosphere was electric—fans cheering, teams strategizing, and the sheer innovation of electric racing on full display. This experience only fueled my passion for motorsport photography, and I can't wait to take these lessons forward into future racing events.
